The world's best padel pairs lifted the trophy at the Lotto Brussels Premier Padel P2 by Belfius, putting the perfect finishing touch on an unforgettable week at the iconic Tour & Taxis Gare Maritime in the Belgian capital. In front of a packed house, the stands came alive with two thrilling finals that ended with the world number ones being crowned over their main challengers.
In the men's draw, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia confirmed their dominance with a brilliant comeback against Chingotto and Galán, the defending champions in Brussels. After a blistering start from Jorge Martínez’s duo (6-2), the turning point came at 3-3 in the second set: after countless break points, the number ones finally broke serve, triggering a sequence of breaks and counter-breaks that allowed Martín Canali’s players to even the match (6-4) and charge through the third set with a commanding 6-1 win.
With this victory, their third of the season after Riyadh P1 and the Qatar Major, Tapia and Coello have now claimed 21 Premier Padel titles together and extended their winning streak to nine consecutive matches against Galán and Chingotto, further cementing their status as the pair to beat.
After the match, Agustín Tapia summed up one of the key factors behind their dominance at the top of the padel world: “We always try to send the message that to beat us, you're going to have to run a lot more than we do. When you send that message, you grow stronger mentally. Our titles in Qatar and Brussels show that we are in a great moment both physically and mentally, playing with a lot of confidence.”
In the women’s final, Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría finally broke the curse that had haunted them this season. Facing Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay for the fourth time in 2025, the number one pair found their best form and, with a solid 6-2, 6-4 win, captured their second title of the year. In a packed Gare Maritime, Ari and Paula maintained their focus even during a dramatic final game, saving several break points before sealing the victory on their sixth championship point.
And it was no small feat: until now, the head-to-head record had been 0-3 in favor of Brea and Triay in finals this year. But in Brussels, with their 13th Premier Padel title as a duo, Claudio Gilardoni’s team finally found the formula to dethrone rivals who had been seriously threatening their leadership.
Paula Josemaría captured the pair's joy after winning the Brussels P2: “We’re very, very happy with this title and finally managing to beat Gemma and Delfi, against whom victories had eluded us. We worked very hard for this match, and the feelings are just incredible.”
Brussels thus closes a magical week of padel, with the current kings and queens of the circuit reaffirming their reign. Now comes a short break in the calendar, giving all the tour’s stars a chance to recharge and fine-tune their game ahead of an exciting second half of the season.
